ENGINE HANDLES FIRE THAT DAMAGED FOUR BUSES

Wednesday, June 13, 2012  At approximately 0143 hours the Engine was dispatched to the county complex for a report of 2 buses on fire found by a Central Communications Dispatcher. Engine 2721 (Johnson) responded quickly with a visible column from the station and BLS2783 also responded. Upon arrival the crew found 2 buses heavily involved with extension to the two exposure buses and several others in the row to protect. The crew led off with 2 attack lines to control the fire from the exposures and established a supply line. "Special thanks to Dave for hooking the Plug!" Then a third line was added and the crew contained the fire to the four buses involved upon arrival. The fire was under control in less than twenty minutes. The cause is under investigation by the County Fire Marshal.
